Driveway & Landscaping companies in Edinburgh are often asked the best way to look after a new mono block driveway, the easiest and simplest way to do this is to power wash your new block paving on a semi regular basis>
Whilst power washing your new driveway you may well notice some jointing sand escape from between the blocks, this is perfectly normal and you should continue doing so, once power washed completely allow the driveway to dry out completely and then using dry kiln sand (£4 odd from b&q) brush new sand between the joints of the block paving/monoblock. You are essentially re-sealng your driveway each time you do this.
If your driveway is done properly from the beginning then it should be perfectly stable for at least 15-20 years so by cleaning your driveway not only will it still be stable but it will keep its colour also. customers spend thousands of pounds on a there driveway, look after it!
PS: If you want to be really pro then at this point it maybe a good idea to seal your sand IN by using a top quality lacquer, this seals in the sand leaving less areas for moss to settle within block paving and also coats it to a nice matt finish
